After a year long break from the piano and several drum lessons, my son (almost 13) sat down at my piano and played for my husband and I for 45 minutes. It was my son's idea. I did not correct any missed notes & only answered a few questions. He played in a way he has never played before. It was relaxed and beautiful. He played his 2014 Guild songs and other previous favorites. In this moment, I knew I accomplished my goal at the piano for him. Maybe he has other goals to be achieved, maybe not. Regardless, my heart is full!
