Attention Piano Parent...

Teach Piano Today is one of my favorites to  follow.  I really enjoyed this post and believe it makes an interesting point about the "Music Play Zone".  All of our families are extremely busy these days and I think the car seat is a great opportunity for learning (after all, it is a spot that my own kids have spent A LOT of time).

Please take the time to check it out for yourself.

First Annual Welcome Back Party / Class

Yesterday was our First Annual Welcome Back Party / Class!  All of our students had a fabulous time getting reacquainted with their piano friends and making new piano friends!  Everyone had pizza, popcorn, pretzels.  I don't think anyone had any carrot sticks though.

Everyone listened to me talk about our piano schedule of events and performances for the rest of the year.  The students also learned about performing!  Students also learned about a new piano app that they can use during lessons and at home.
Each student performed their two favorite pieces that they worked on over the summer.
Leo opted to perform a duet he worked on with me!  It was a lot of fun!  When the learning and performing was over, everyone had cookies and popsicles!
