Please join me in a huge round of applause for Miss Lydia! Miss Lydia completed her Primer Level Piano Adventures Books this week! Lydia has already started to work from her Level 1 "Red" Books! Lydia has worked extremely hard to accomplish this goal and she is very proud!
When Miss Lydia is not playing the piano, she enjoys figure skating, field hockey and soccer. She also likes to play with her neighbor friend, make Rainbow Loom bracelets (you can see a few of her creations in the photo below) and play piano games on her IPad.
CONGRATULATIONS LYDIA! I am very proud of you!

Is Music the Key to Success?
This article was sent to me by one of my adult students. I found it to be an very interesting article. Is music the common thread?
I often tell my students that if playing the piano was easy, then everyone would know how to play! I tell my students that if performing and recording was easy then everyone would do it and no one would pay money to see and hear live and recorded performances. Students usually give me a grin and go back to their work at the piano.
Read on and tell me what you think.

Congratulations to Susan
Please join me in a huge round of applause for our student, Susan. Susan was our studio winner for locating the most "Play Me I'm Yours" Street Pianos of Boston display. Susan was the student who located the most pianos and sent me photos of her with them! I think Susan and her daughter had a lot of fun with this contest! Congratulations Susan for winning a free thirty minute piano lesson!

Looking for a piano
Are you looking for a used piano? Do you know someone who is? Check out this website. You can type in your zip code, type of piano, etc. There are MANY pianos for sale near me. Now the question is where can I put all of these pianos that are so well priced? :) Just kidding - I only have room for the two that I have.

Piano & technology
Hello!
I am looking for YOUR ideas on fun apps, YouTube videos, etc. that can help students with note recognition, basic theory and general fun. I have a few that I really like and I am using them more often in the piano studio. Let me know which ones you prefer!
